state was created on 14th November 2000 after bifurcation of Bihar.
Initially Ranchi Branch of API took the initial steps to develop
the idea and plan the project for the formation of API -Jharkhand
Chapter. Preparatory and Co-ordinating committee was formed. During
APICON-2001 at Delhi a constitution drafting committee was formed .
During BAPICON -Patna in 2001 ,developments to bifurcate Bihar chapter
was discussed. Gradually Ad-hoc committeee was formed which hold the
election in 2001. It was the 3rd March 2002 at Rajgir when separation
was officially announced during BAPICON and since then new committee
took over.
